The Illinois Department of Natural Resources requires anyone born after January 1, 1980 ,to complete a State approved hunter education course unless they can provide proof of previously holding a valid hunting license in Illinois or another state.

The purpose of hunter education is to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to become safe, responsible hunters.

This is a 10 hour state approved Hunter Safety Course spread out over two days. The student will receive their Hunter Safety Card upon completion of the course and passing the required test.

The course is designed for young people between the ages of 10 to 18, however we encourage people of all ages to participate in the program.
