This is an exciting class for women only. Learn the NRA rules of safety, how to load and unload a firearm, the fundamentals of marksmanship and pistol shooting. The class is three hours long and includes classroom and range time. Included with the class is the use of a firearm, ammunition and protective safety gear. All participants will receive a Women on Target tote bag, ear plugs, eye protection, a new shooters guide and a certificate of attendance.

The Handgun Skill Building Class is intended to help students learn and use muscle memory. Working from the holster students will learn how to draw and re-holster the firearm, while performing rapid reloads (both emergency and tactical) and clearing malfunctions. We will continue to practice fundamental shooting techniques focusing on aiming and trigger manipulation. This course is approximately 3 hours in length and includes classroom instruction and shooting exercises on the range, where we will engage in shooting at targets close up, far away, using both hands, one hand and shooting while moving. If you want to build on your gun handling skills and increase your shooting confidence, this class is for you. Class price: $100

How safe are you when you are alone in a dark parking lot? Are you aware of your surroundings? Educate yourself by elevating your level of awareness of personal security and defense. In this 4-hour class you will learn practices that you can use to avoid violent situations, as well as how to survive and escape when avoidance is not an option. Participants must be competent with their firearms and have a FOID card. This is not a beginner course.

This is a 6 hour course designed to help the student identify strengths and weaknesses around the exterior and interior of the home, from landscaping to lighting. Learn where the best place is to stage or store your firearms. How to engage an uninvited intruder. Do you need an escape plan? Understand Illinois State Law concerning Use of Deadly Force. The shooting range exercises will challenge even the experienced shooter.
